How Can severe Constipation be Treated?

i m a diabetic andi have problems having a complete bowl movement sometimes I sit on the toilet for long periods at a time and nothing happen I did a detox cleanse and it helpsd some but aftea a week right back where I started do I have a problem with my system???

Hello dear
I understand your concern
Your constipation could be due to diabetes. It cause enteropathy that lead to constipation.
I would suggest to consult gastroenterologist undergo ultrasound scan of abdomen,colonic transit studies, defecography and colonoscopy examination.
Following advice will help you:
Take proper treatment of diabetes.
Syrup Lactulose: can be taken up to 30 ml twice a day
Tab bisacodyl at bedtime can useful
Bulking agents like isabgol husk
Drink one spoon of honey in warm water daily in morning before the bowel movement.
Eat high fiber diet, Every meal should have salads and fruits with skin.
Drink 3-4 litre water daily, Daily evening and morning walk for 30-45 minutes to regularize the bowel movement.
Take more fruits and green leafy vegetables in the diet.
Set Up regular time for the motion.
